Canadian Highlander Duels - $30 - 12:00pm

Canadian Highlander is a 100-card singleton format. Similar to cEDH, it allows you to play with some of the most powerful cards in Magic’s history. Unlike cEDH, you can sleeve up GW beatdown and take away those 20 life points at record pace. Whether you want to take your 10 points and sleeve up Strip Mine locks or Ancestral Recall spam, Canadian Highlander has you covered. Event duration will scale based on participation.

Do you want to play some Precon Commander from throughout Magic’s history? Sign up for the Commander Precon showdown. You’ll be given an unopened Commander Precon and be paired into pods of four with other players with Commander Precons!. This event is all about Commander Precons and having an awesome time playing Commander Precon so your prize for winning is the Commander Precon you opened! We are confident you’ll enjoy your Precon Commander experience at Okotoberfest!

DanDan, The Most Forgetful Fish - $2 - 8:30pm

I’m not even going to lie to you. We put DanDan on the schedule because it’s fun and also so we can say the first competitive DanDan was played at Okotoberfest. If you have a DanDan deck and want to play some DanDan, we’ll help you organize it. You can even go so far as to donate your prize money to St. Jude, and we’ll double it to $8 per match!

Is this casual as heck? Yes. Is DanDan a fun way to play Magic? Also yes.

No-Banned List EDH - $10 - 4:00pm

Experience the raw power of Black Lotus, Griselbrand, or Flash in Magic’s most busted multiplayer tournament format! Bring $10 and your gumption and try out three rounds of 50 minute multiplayer magic with a cut to top-4.

Firing throughout the weekend, if you don’t want to try out our main event or haven’t gotten enough after swiss rounds conclude, join the queue to play some cEDH! At only $5 a game, you can walk away with $15 AND you get to donate $10 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. If you’re good enough, you might be able to walk out of Okotoberfest with more than you started and help donate money to a good cause while you play!
